We are currently seeking Head Chef/ Sous Chef for our clients. These are full-time positions across New Zealand.
We are looking for strong candidates who are hardworking, reliable, self-motivated and have a genuine passion for food and the Hospitality industry. We want people with creativity and passion to help enhance our customers dining experiences. Attention to detail is greatly desired, as is demonstrated culinary expertise.
Necessary Professional Skills:
- Time management – a wide range of prep must be done daily, someone who can plan their time to meet deadlines is a must
- Catering – ability to change service style to suit the needs and demands of catering food preparation and presentation
- Kitchen management – lead others to complete jobs on time at a high quality
- Hot Side – confident in all areas of meat preparation and cooking including grill, barbecue and spit roast
- Food preparation – great knowledge and speed of general food preparation such as dressings, complex salads and plating, desserts, measuring and chopping
Required work experience and academic qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in culinary arts (preferably a bachelor or higher diploma)
- Minimum three-year work experience in a multinational chain of restaurants
